Senior Project Manager - Transmission - Michels Power, Inc.

Michels Power, Inc. is a leading, family-owned electrical transmission and distribution contractor focused on building and modernizing power delivery infrastructure across the U.S. The company seeks a results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead phases of large complex transmission and substation projects or multiple medium-sized projects (typically $500K to $10M), overseeing all aspects from proposal through profitable completion with a strong emphasis on safety and client satisfaction.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of related project management experience (or equivalent)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with project management software (Primavera, HCSS, etc.)
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling and contract management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel and work onsite for extended project durations
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Manage a phase of large complex projects or multiple medium-sized projects ($500K - $10M)
  • Oversee project life cycle from proposal/bidding through completion and closeout
  • Ensure projects meet client expectations, schedule, budget and quality targets
  • Champion safety performance and compliance across project teams
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and internal teams to deliver project milestones
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and change orders
  • Use project management software to plan, schedule and track progress
  • Travel and commit to long-term onsite project assignments as required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and relevant construction/project management experience
