Procurement Clerk

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a Procurement Clerk to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.

Your expertise in purchase order processing, vendor coordination, inventory tracking, and invoice verification will help ensure that every prompt and response accurately reflects how purchasing professionals handle ordering, documentation, and cost tracking in real-life procurement operations.

You’ll help shape how AI understands procurement documentation, sourcing workflows, and internal purchasing protocols.

You’re a Good Fit If You…

• Have 3+ years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing coordination, or supply chain clerical support
• Hold a bachelor’s or associate degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
• Are based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia
• Have experience with:
• Entering and tracking purchase orders
• Communicating with suppliers
• Checking pricing and delivery timelines
• Filing procurement records
• Resolving PO/invoice discrepancies
• Supporting procurement managers with admin tasks
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong attention to detail

Role Highlights

• 10–20 hours/week, with the potential to increase to 40
• Fully remote and asynchronous—work whenever suits you
• 1–2 months minimum commitment, with potential for extension

Start Date

• Begins mid to late July
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis

Interview Process

• Participate in an AI interview with questions about your background in procurement support
• Share your screen to write a detailed prompt for a procurement scenario
• Evaluate and compare large language model (LLM) outputs for effectiveness
• Applicants are selected based on their performance and quality of evaluations

Compensation & Legal Details

• You’ll be classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
• Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
