About the Role

We are looking for an Insurance Claims and Policy Processing Clerk to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.

Your expertise in claims intake, policy updates, form validation, and insurance data entry will ensure each prompt and response reflects how clerical professionals support accurate insurance operations. You’ll help train AI models to understand insurance terminology, policy workflows, and administrative procedures used across health, life, property, and casualty insurance sectors.

You’re a Good Fit If You:

• Have 3+ years of professional experience in insurance processing, claims administration, or policy support
• Hold a bachelor’s or associate degree in insurance studies, business, or a related administrative field
• Are currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia
• Have a strong background in:
• Reviewing insurance applications or claims forms
• Entering and updating policy information
• Verifying customer data
• Flagging incomplete submissions
• Tracking status updates
• Communicating with agents or adjusters to clarify documentation
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong attention to detail

Role Highlights

• Flexible workload: 10–20 hours/week, with potential to increase to 40
• Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule
• Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension

Role Start Date

• Starts mid to late-July
• Applications reviewed on a rolling basis

Interview Process

• Participate in an AI interview with questions about insurance documentation, claims workflows, and administrative support
• Share your screen and write a detailed prompt to generate an AI response about an insurance clerical scenario
• Evaluate and compare AI outputs to determine which response is more effective and accurate
• Applicants will be selected based on their interview performance and the accuracy of their evaluations

Compensation & Legal Details

• Legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
• Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
