Role Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced management consultants to collaborate on a cutting-edge project with a leading AI research organization. Contractors will help design complex, high-caliber tasks and evaluation rubrics to assess frontier model capabilities. This engagement offers a unique opportunity to apply strategic thinking and analytical rigor to shape the next generation of AI evaluation. This is a part-time, remote opportunity available for professionals based in the U.S., Canada, or the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Design original, challenging prompts that test model performance beyond current capabilities
- Develop structured rubrics to evaluate nuanced model responses
- Ensure task clarity, fairness, and relevance across multiple domains
- Collaborate with AI researchers to validate and iterate on task designs
- Maintain high standards of linguistic precision and analytical depth
Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain)
- Strong academic background in business, economics, public policy, or related fields
- Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking, writing, and communication
- Comfortable designing detailed scenarios and scoring frameworks
- Based in the U.S., Canada, or UK with fluent English proficiency
