About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Secretary and Administrative Assistant to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.
Your expertise in legal document preparation, calendaring, court procedures, and administrative coordination will ensure each prompt and response reflects the accuracy, formatting, and discretion expected in legal office environments. You’ll help shape how AI understands and simulates legal support workflows across litigation, corporate, and regulatory practices.
You’re a Good Fit If You:
- Have 3+ years of professional experience in legal administrative support, law office operations, or legal secretarial roles
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or associate degree in legal studies, business administration, or a related field
- Are currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia
- Have a strong background in:
- Drafting or formatting pleadings and legal correspondence
- Maintaining case files and court calendars
- E-filing in state or federal courts
- Managing attorney schedules
- Proofreading and redlining documents
- Supporting communication between clients and legal staff
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have strong attention to detail
Role Highlights
- Flexible workload: 10–20 hours/week, with potential to increase to 40 hours
- Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule
- Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension

- Starts mid to late-July

Interview Process
- AI interview with questions about your background in legal secretarial support, documentation formatting, and law office coordination
- You’ll share your screen and write a detailed prompt to generate an AI response about a legal administrative scenario
- You’ll then evaluate and compare AI outputs to determine which response is more effective and accurate
- Final selection is based on interview performance and evaluation accuracy
Compensation & Legal Details
- You’ll be classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
- Payment is made weekly via Stripe Connect
