Company Description

Tyler Pipe, as a part of the McWane Plumbing Group currently has an opening for a Technical & Market Support Manager (TMSM) to work in our Business Development Department. The TMSM will serve as a versatile field-based resource supporting both Technical Services and Business Development teams across multiple regions. This role focuses on engaging engineers and industry professionals to promote the use of domestic cast iron plumbing systems over imported or plastic alternatives. The TMSM will play a key role in advancing McWane Plumbing Group’s strategic initiatives by providing technical expertise, market insights, and leadership support under the direction of the Senior Director of Technical Services & Strategic Marketing.

Job Description

  • Provide flexible, field-based support to both Technical Services and Business Development teams across multiple U.S. regions.
  • Deliver engaging presentations, training sessions, and Lunch & Learn programs to engineering audiences.
  • Identify, track, and influence project specifications to drive market growth and adoption of domestic cast iron plumbing systems.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with engineers and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent McWane Plumbing Group at industry associations such as ASPE and participate in relevant trade events.
  • Serve as a technical expert on soil pipe, couplings, and gaskets, offering field support and product education.
  • Educate industry professionals on proper installation practices and the advantages of cast iron in fire-rated and underground applications.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team on tradeshows, promotional campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collect and communicate field insights to support product development, marketing strategies, and training programs.
  • Provide leadership coverage and support as directed by the Senior Director of Technical Services & Strategic Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a proven capacity to work independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 75% of the time.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems, specifications, and installation practices is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments, regions, and functional teams.
