The Brand Sourcing & Manufacturer Relations (BSMR) team plays a critical role in delivering brand, generic, and specialty pharmaceuticals with excellence and accuracy to retail, hospital, independent, and health system customers.
Role Overview
The Manager, Market Intelligence is a high-visibility, high-impact position responsible for providing evidence-based projections for brand, specialty, rare/orphan, cell & gene, and biosimilar marketed and pipeline products. These insights support North American Pharmaceutical Services financial reporting, BSMR manufacturer conversations, and strategic decision-making across McKesson.
Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Develop and manage internal systems, templates, and tools to efficiently deliver market intelligence across BSMR.
Build compelling, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations to communicate insights clearly and persuasively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner regularly with Finance, Pricing, Business Development, Data Engineering, and Product Strategy teams.
Collaborate with pipeline leads across the enterprise to ensure contemporary and accurate pipeline insights.
Pipeline & Portfolio Analysis
Produce regular pipeline reports using third-party databases, earnings calls, FDA updates, and manufacturer meetings.
Support Business Development Directors with deep dives on manufacturer portfolio reviews.
Proactively engage the Business Development team to align on pipeline status and encourage early manufacturer discussions ahead of FDA approvals.
Project Management
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, tracking deliverables and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of insights.
Drive structured processes for information gathering, review, and executive updates.
Research & Insight Generation
Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research on manufacturer portfolios.
Interpret clinical data, analyst expectations, and market trends to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
Minimum Requirement
Critical Skills
Healthcare and consulting experience preferred
Experience in pharma pipeline forecasting (Market Access, payer, or PBM environment preferred)
Demonstrated project management experience — able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Additional Skills
Strategic thinker and problem-solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional presentation skills — able to translate complex data into compelling, visually clear executive deliverables
Understanding of pharmaceutical product development and therapeutic area trends
Proven ability to synthesize complex data and deliver executive-ready insights
Adaptable, resilient, and able to manage shifting priorities while driving results
