Description

As a Capture Manager at Markon, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by developing and executing capture strategies for new and existing business opportunities within the federal government sector. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage the capture process, and ensure the delivery of winning proposals. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to foster relationships with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive capture strategies to increase the probability of winning new and existing contracts.
  • Lead and manage capture teams through the entire capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification to proposal submission and award.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform capture strategies and bid decisions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, serving as a spokesperson for Markon's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to ensure alignment with capture strategies and client requirements.
  • Lead proposal development efforts, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and alignment with Markon's strategic goals.
  • Conduct after-action reviews to capture lessons learned and refine capture techniques and strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in government contracting, with at least 5 years in capture management.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. intelligence community and DoD markets.
  • Experience in developing competitive pricing strategies and negotiating teaming agreements.
  • Proven track record of successfully capturing and winning large, complex federal contracts.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and contract types.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Active security clearance, TS/SCI preferred.

  • Experience with the Shipley Business Development Lifecycle.

Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
