- Experience with continuous improvement, Kaizen and 5S
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations
- Experience creating control plans, audits, and manufacturing process documentation
- CAD experience (CATIA) and exposure to 3DX
- Supplier quality management and corrective action facilitation
- Ability to analyze quality data and drive improvement plans
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Responsibilities
- Validate and characterize new processes, equipment, and fixtures for production implementation with focus on damage-free assembly.
- Create detailed manufacturing instructions and pictorial documentation for quality-critical characteristics.
- Design production and inspection workstations for quality, ergonomics, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain Control Plans, auditing strategies, and risk-based inspection approaches.
- Manage quality metrics reporting, present data and improvement plans to factory leadership.
- Perform completed vehicle audits and coordinate corrective actions with issue owners.
- Drive product design improvements back to Design Engineering and support DFMA activities.
- Facilitate supplier quality issue resolution and partner on corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement, Kaizen, and defect elimination initiatives across the factory.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant quality certifications and continuous improvement training preferred
