Lead QC Micro Analyst role (2nd shift)

Responsibilities:

• Execute Quality Control Microbiology Analyst duties, including environmental monitoring, sample collection, and laboratory support functions.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and utilize Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample and test result tracking.
• Prepare and submit laboratory investigation reports, and conduct peer reviews of data.
• Support and monitor analytical team performance, including participation in hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols and meet physical demands of the role, including overtime and weekend schedule requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of Microbiology Laboratory experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• GMP experience and familiarity with LIMS
• Strong scientific, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The position is full-time, second shift Mon-Fri, 2 pm-10:30 pm Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
