JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
20% - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT MANAGEMENT - Responsible for fostering and managing customer demand for Executive Education programs and services; building and maintaining customer relationships to ensure repeat business; and demonstrating teamwork with customers, EE staff, and LSU stakeholders. Schedule and conduct sales calls with corporate decision makers in targeted markets. Prepare thoroughly and consistently for appointments to have effective sales interactions. Document clients’ development opportunities and needs; recognize opportunities and problems that Executive Education can address. Write effective proposals that articulate customer needs, desired outcomes, and recommended strategies. Identify appropriate course instructors and act as the liaison between instructor and client. Evaluate program success, review results, and make recommendations for improvement. Assure that program deliverables meet the clients’ expectations. Follow up with clients to review course evaluations, determine whether the learning solution met their needs and plan for future engagements. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key personnel within customer companies. Conduct business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with their products and services.
20% - PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT - Assist in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of educational offerings serving professional audiences under the supervision of the Assistant Dean. Manage portfolio of non-degree programs. Assist in determining educational needs and market opportunities to build an educationally vibrant and financially healthy portfolio of programs; recommend programs. Develop strategic alliances and partnerships that serve the content and marketing needs of programs. Assist in planning open enrollment courses and programs to meet learner demands. Identify and recommend professional instructors to design curriculum and teach courses; orient and manage the ongoing relationship with department instructors.
20% - ADMINISTRATIVE– Facilitate business and process improvements and streamline internal procedures to improve operational efficiency. Manage administrative and professional responsibilities for assigned programs. Set and accomplish goals in collaboration with the Executive Education Director; recommend new or revised procedures that will aid in achieving these goals. Provide work guidance to support staff and student workers. Effectively communicate with other Executive Education staff and student workers to fulfill Executive Education goals. Contribute to building a positive, cohesive, and integrated team. Foster cross-college and university wide collaborative relationships. Work with staff associates to assure that appropriate program materials are available when needed. Actively participate in Executive Education’s strategic planning process, staff meetings, and other critical meetings.
20% - FINANCIAL - Identify and implement opportunities for department cost savings and revenue growth. Monitor program revenue and expenses and provide the Executive Education Director with regular financial and client engagement updates. Develop and monitor budgets for each client project and ensure that billings and payments have been processed in a timely manner. Responsible for procurement of supplies needed for each program or event. Assist with operational budget and fiscal year-end summaries, expenditure tracking and program budget projections.
15% - OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT - Participate in the strategic planning and delivery of public relations programs offered by LSU Executive Education (.ie., LSU 100, EBV). Actively participate in engagement efforts focused on alumni of the College of Business. Efforts to include fostering internship and mentorship opportunities for LSU students and engaging with alumni via professional development and networking events offered by LSU Executive Education. This position may require in person contact with prospective stakeholders or an otherwise consistent presence in order to foster relationships.
5% -Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Vehicle Operations - University employees whose principal responsibilities of employment include operating a vehicle, performing maintenance on a vehicle, or supervising any public employee who operates or maintains a vehicle and positions with an expectation to travel will require am MVR and are subject to drug screens per PM-33/PS-67/FASOP HR-04.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Business, HR Management, Organizational Behavior, Training & Development, Marketing, Public Relations, Industrial Psychology, or Communications.
Degree Substitute: LSU values skills, experience and expertise. Candidates who have relevant experience in key job responsibilities are encouraged to apply - a degree is not required as long as the candidate meets the required years of experience specified in the job description.
Years of Experience: 3 years of related experience
Specific Experience: Experience in constituent/client relationship management, working with financial budgets, event management and operations management.
Minimum Certifications/Licenses:
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Some overnight travel required.
