Skills
- Deep expertise in LLMs, transformer architectures, and attention mechanisms
- Practical experience with fine-tuning, instruction tuning, and alignment techniques
- Experience implementing RAG, retrieval systems, and knowledge-grounding for LLMs
- Strong background in model safety, guardrails, and evaluation for conversational systems
- Experience with personalization techniques (embeddings, contextualization)
- Proficiency in PyTorch and/or TensorFlow and modern ML toolchains
- Experience with deployment and hosting of large models (cloud, containers, inference services)
- Familiarity with RL, multi-task learning, or JEPA-style approaches
- Excellent software engineering practices and experience collaborating with engineering teams
- Demonstrated research output (publications, talks) in relevant ML areas
Responsibilities
- Drive research initiatives to advance conversational AI and generative model capabilities for patient-facing applications.
- Design, prototype, and productionize LLM-based conversational systems within the Objective-Driven Multi-Agent Framework.
- Collaborate with behavioral scientists to ensure models leverage behavior-focused content libraries and knowledgebases in real time.
- Implement model alignment, fine-tuning, RAG, guardrails, and safety mechanisms for healthcare dialogues.
- Integrate personalized embeddings and contextual signals to improve individualized conversational experiences.
- Define and implement feedback loops between conversational outputs and the behavior-based foundation model.
- Oversee scalable, secure platform architecture and core services for generative AI deployment.
- Contribute to research on safety, trustworthiness, and evaluation metrics for medical chatbots.
- Work with engineering teams to follow software engineering best practices and operationalize research advances.
- Mentor and lead cross-functional teams, and communicate technical direction to stakeholders.
Education
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (required)
- Advanced coursework or research in NLP, deep learning, or AI alignment
- Ongoing engagement with research community (publications, open-source, conferences)
