We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Vice President of Data to lead and shape the organization’s data strategy from the ground up. In this role, you will define scalable data infrastructure, governance, and analytics frameworks that drive actionable insights across the business. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure data is trusted, accessible, and integral to decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-growing, dynamic environment, balancing strategic leadership with operational execution, and leveraging modern analytics and AI tools to maximize business impact. Accountabilities

·         Build and lead a high-performing data organization, including analytics, data science, and governance teams.

·         Define and operationalize a scalable data strategy aligned with business goals and product roadmap.

·         Drive business intelligence, analytics, and insights to support decision-making across marketing, product, finance, and operations.

·         Establish data governance and compliance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and regulatory adherence (e.g., GDPR, CPRA).

·         Develop predictive models and leverage machine learning to forecast outcomes and optimize customer experiences.

·         Partner cross-functionally to embed data-driven decision-making across the organization.

·         Ensure data infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability for both analytical and operational needs.

·         Promote a culture of data fluency, curiosity, and innovation, including integrating emerging AI technologies into workflows.

·         12+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or data science, with 5+ years in executive leadership.

·         Proven ability to design and execute a data strategy that drives measurable business outcomes.

·         Strong technical expertise in modern data infrastructure, ETL pipelines, BI tools, and cloud-based environments.

·         Deep understanding of analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimentation frameworks.

·         Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.

·         Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with experience scaling high-performing teams.

·         Strong cross-functional communication skills, able to translate technical insights into business impact.

·         Experience in consumer tech, DTC, or eCommerce preferred; global or fast-scaling environments a plus.

·         Hands-on builder mentality with the ability to contribute directly in early stages and scale as the team grows.

·         Passion for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to accelerate data-driven decision-making.
