Sr. Software Engineer (RPA)

As a Sr. Software Engineer (RPA), you will design, develop, and implement automated software solutions that streamline complex business processes. You will work on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives using platforms like Automation Anywhere and UiPath, while contributing to full software lifecycle development including design, testing, deployment, and maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with geographically distributed teams, deliver scalable and secure solutions, and participate in cloud-based, containerized environments. You will troubleshoot production issues, improve system integrations, and enhance automation workflows that support mission-critical operations. Your work will directly impact efficiency, productivity, and operational success in a fast-paced and technically advanced environment.

• Accountabilities
• Develop and deploy RPA bots using Automation Anywhere and UiPath to automate business processes.
• Design, document, test, and maintain software in Python, Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Build and manage automated testing pipelines with tools such as Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, and Ansible.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments using Jenkins, CloudBees, Artifactory, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.
• Collaborate with Agile teams in daily scrums and deliver working software while coordinating with remote team members.
• Troubleshoot installation, infrastructure, and system issues, ensuring stable and reliable deployments.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate technical risks proactively and independently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree and 2–6 years experience acceptable.
• 4–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with RPA platforms such as Automation Anywhere and UiPath.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and HTML.
• Experience with web frameworks such as React and UNIX command line development.
• Familiarity with distributed version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker), and automated testing tools.
• Experience with DoD or security-conscious software environments; Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim Secret clearance required.
• Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 60 days of start.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and reside within commuting distance of Scott AFB, IL or Ft. Meade, MD for occasional on-site support.
