Sr. Software Engineer, Backend

• Accountabilities
• Lead the development and maintenance of backend services, including payment processing, inventory management, and core platform features.
• Design and implement scalable architectures, including microservices, event-driven systems, and service mesh patterns.
• Make technical decisions regarding coding standards, performance optimization, testing strategies, and system design.
• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technical presentations, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to define requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure feature success.
• Optimize backend performance through database tuning, caching strategies, load balancing, and scalability improvements.
• Contribute to long-term backend roadmap, including technology evaluation, platform strategy, and technical debt management.
• Lead architectural discussions for major system changes and feature implementations.

• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of backend development experience, preferably with large-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise in Go and PHP, with deep knowledge of backend development best practices.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, service mesh, and performance optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with modern deployment tools and infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Excellent architectural, system design, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI tools and workflows is a plus.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead technical teams, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
