Senior Application Developer (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of complex software applications that support critical business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including business analysts, product owners, IT partners, and other developers—to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The role combines hands-on development, technical leadership, and mentoring responsibilities, providing a chance to shape project outcomes and improve team capabilities. You will be involved in full lifecycle development, support production systems, and drive innovative solutions to complex business challenges. This position suits a collaborative problem-solver with strong technical and communication skills.

Accountabilities

·         Lead analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation of complex application enhancements, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and with high quality.

·         Participate in the full system development life cycle according to established SDLC standards.

·         Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT teams to design innovative technical solutions for complex business needs.

·         Provide technical support including release implementations, on-call, and 24x7 support as necessary.

·         Mentor and guide less experienced team members, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.

·         Communicate effectively with stakeholders, conduct technical walkthroughs, report status, and document solutions clearly.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field (Master’s preferred).

·         Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.

·         Experience with multiple programming languages, databases, and project management tools.

·         Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and issue resolution skills.

·         Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring team members.

·         Experience in healthcare or health insurance industry is a plus.

·         Preferred certifications: Java Developer, DB2, or Cognos.

·         Competitive annual salary range: $67,500 – $126,000 (varies based on experience, qualifications, and internal considerations).
