Market Development Director (blood bank partnerships)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Market Development Director (Blood Bank Partnerships) in United States.

We are seeking a results-driven and strategically minded Market Development Director to lead the adoption and implementation of innovative blood safety solutions within hospitals and blood centers. This role combines clinical, operational, and educational expertise to support hospital personnel and ensure successful integration of new technologies. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Leadership, as well as external stakeholders, to drive adoption and optimize processes. The position involves nationwide travel, engaging key decision-makers, and providing thought leadership across multiple medical specialties. This role offers the opportunity to impact patient safety and advance blood component safety standards while working in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.


Accountabilities:
  • Serve as a clinical and operational subject matter expert supporting hospital adoption of blood safety products.
  • Collaborate with hospital and blood center personnel to prioritize targets, develop strategies, and facilitate onboarding.
  • Create and deliver educational presentations, training programs, and materials for clinical and operational teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals in transfusion medicine and related specialties.
  • Support clinical education, economic analyses, and operational implementation of approved products.
  • Liaise with hospital and blood bank IT teams to facilitate product implementation and workflow integration.
  • Assist with billing, coding, reimbursement, and data reporting for hospital stakeholders.
  • Document customer interactions, field insights, and competitive intelligence in company CRM.
  • Participate in advisory boards, white papers, and scientific conferences to promote product adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and professional standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical, blood center, or hospital experience in transfusion medicine, hematology, or related fields.
  • Proven track record working with hospital decision-makers, including physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, and C-suite executives.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, committees, and new product approval processes.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities across multiple disciplines.
  • Comfortable with nationwide travel (50–75%) and field-based work.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced clinical or scientific degree (RN, MS, PharmD, PhD) preferred in fields such as Clinical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Immunology, Biology, Public Health, or IT.
