Lead UX Designer (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to lead the design and strategy of enterprise-scale software experiences that simplify complex workflows for users. The Lead UX Designer will be responsible for driving user-centered design across multiple products, from research and ideation through prototyping and implementation. You will collaborate closely with Product Management and cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive solutions that enhance usability and engagement. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on design skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about shaping impactful user experiences.

Accountabilities

As a Lead UX Designer, you will:

• Conduct strategic research to understand user needs, motivations, and pain points across multiple products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize problem spaces and design opportunities.
• Lead generative and evaluative research, synthesizing results into actionable insights.
• Create and iterate on design artifacts, including user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Own workstreams from planning through design hand-off, post-release testing, and ongoing research.
• Advocate for the user experience across the product lifecycle, ensuring designs are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with business goals.

Candidates should possess:

• 7+ years of experience in UX, preferably in commercial software or enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in UX research methodologies, design principles, and usability best practices.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, Miro, or equivalents.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work remotely or from a company office.
• Desired but not required: experience in the insurance industry, familiarity with AI or machine learning technologies.
