Hardware Engineering Manager - SuperNatural Vision (SNV)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Hardware Engineering Manager – SuperNatural Vision (SNV) in the United States.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the architecture, development, and integration of advanced hardware systems for an innovative in-flight infotainment platform. You will define top-level hardware requirements, manage system specifications, and guide vendor and technology-partner engagements. Overseeing the full engineering lifecycle—from concept and design to implementation, validation, and release—you will ensure reliable, high-performance hardware solutions. This role offers the opportunity to influence cutting-edge cabin technology, drive technical strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment with periodic on-site collaboration.


  • Accountabilities
  • Lead the hardware engineering team, setting technical direction, establishing best practices, and ensuring high-quality execution across design, development, and validation.
  • Define, track, and maintain hardware requirements for compute modules, power systems, sensors, and supporting electronic subsystems.
  • Guide vendor and technology-partner engagements, including selection of processors, components, and hardware subsystems.
  • Ensure comprehensive system-level requirements are captured, including power, performance, data I/O, communication protocols, reliability, environmental, and thermal constraints.
  • Drive and support certification activities for hardware systems and safety-critical components.
  • Coordinate engineering design reviews, hardware bring-up, integration efforts, and cross-functional validation activities.
  • Define and maintain interface specifications between hardware, embedded compute systems, avionics buses, and the Cabin Management System.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing hardware engineering teams while promoting innovation and technical excellence.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in hardware engineering for shipped/released products in aviation, robotics, automotive, consumer electronics, or related industries.
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role, with experience leading hardware engineering teams through the full product lifecycle.
  • Deep technical expertise in hardware system architecture, embedded systems, power electronics, signal integrity, PCB design, and system integration.
  • Experience with DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A compliance, and FAA Part 23/25 or EASA CS-23/25 certification processes.
  • Proven success managing vendors, contract manufacturers, and supply chain partners for electronics production.
  • Strong program management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passion for aviation and highly reliable system design with a focus on safety, quality, and performance.
