Director of Engineering

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead multiple development teams, QA, release engineering, and project management functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of public-facing web applications, client portals, APIs, and internal tools while driving technology transformation from legacy systems to modern platforms. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and leadership to align engineering priorities with strategic objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate is a visionary technology leader with strong hands-on experience, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to mentor and grow engineering teams. You will also shape engineering culture, improve processes, and remove obstacles to maximize team effectiveness and technical excellence.

• Lead the Engineering organization, including development, QA, release engineering, and project management teams.
• Set strategic direction for engineering initiatives and ensure alignment with business priorities.
• Oversee architecture, technical design, and execution across multiple projects, focusing on quality, scalability, and performance.
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders and teams to foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges, implementing process improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, IT, and other stakeholders, to drive seamless project execution.
• Monitor and improve the effectiveness of software development lifecycle processes and operational excellence.

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on SaaS-based enterprise solutions.
• Significant experience with distributed microservice architecture and GitOps frameworks.
• 7+ years managing and building high-performing software engineering teams.
• Proven experience as a technology leader overseeing complex enterprise software projects.
• Strong expertise in modern programming languages (Node.js, Typescript, Go, Python 3, or similar) and AWS services.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute ambitious engineering projects on schedule.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and strategic thinking.
• Experience leading multiple engineering functions, including development, QA, and project management.
