Data Center Engineer - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to join a high-performing team responsible for supporting and optimizing enterprise-grade data center environments. This role provides the opportunity to work across storage, compute, virtualization, and networking technologies, delivering innovative solutions while ensuring the highest levels of service for customers. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, drive project implementations, and contribute to the design and optimization of cutting-edge infrastructure. Accountabilities

• Provide advanced technical support for data center operations, including storage, compute, virtualization, and hyper-converged systems.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, determine root causes, and deliver resolutions to meet customer expectations.
• Support the full deployment lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, optimization, and documentation.
• Create and maintain project deliverables, including requirements documents, cabling diagrams, cutover plans, resiliency test plans, and technical drawings.
• Communicate project status and technical guidance clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to customers and team members as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent service delivery and high-quality technical outcomes.

• 8–10+ years of experience in storage, virtualization, and data center engineering.
• Strong expertise in technologies such as Cohesity, Cisco UCS, Nutanix, VMware, and Hyper-converged systems.
• Experience with Fibre Channel switching (MDS, Nexus FCoE, Brocade) and Ethernet switching for IP storage and hypervisor connectivity.
• Familiarity with Cisco HyperFlex HX, Pure Storage, VMware Horizon View, and VMware Site Recovery Manager is a plus.
• General understanding of Layer 3 routing protocols.
• Knowledge of additional technologies such as Veeam, Dell-EMC VxRail/VxRack, VMware vSAN, and VMware vRealize Operations Manager is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and capability to handle moderate to highly complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience interacting with customers professionally and effectively.
