We are seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to serve as a frontline technical expert, guiding customers through complex challenges with clarity and precision. This role combines technical troubleshooting, customer education, and internal collaboration to ensure user success with analytics tools and cloud-based platforms. You will diagnose and resolve issues related to SQL queries, templating languages, and cloud data environments while providing clear, empathetic guidance to users. The ideal candidate thrives in a distributed, fast-paced environment, can manage multiple escalations simultaneously, and contributes to documentation and team knowledge sharing. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on customer experience while collaborating with engineering, support, and product teams.

Accountabilities

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including SQL queries, templating languages (Jinja/Liquid), YAML configurations, and cloud data platforms.
  • Clarify customer goals to ensure solutions align with actual needs and desired outcomes.
  • Perform root cause analysis to quickly identify issues and escalate accurately to engineering when necessary.
  • Provide excellent communication, including setting expectations, providing updates, and ensuring timely resolution of customer cases.
  • Educate customers by explaining both what is happening and why, fostering trust and shared understanding.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation and enablement materials to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve customer experience and internal support processes.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, advanced support, or software development within a SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting SQL queries, templating languages (Jinja/Liquid), and working with YAML configurations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
  • Hands-on experience managing escalations to engineering, ensuring reproducibility and clarity.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with distributed teams across time zones.
  • Detail-oriented, humble, and passionate about helping others succeed.
  • Nice-to-have: prior experience with dbt, SAML (Azure AD/Okta), API scripting, CI/CD pipelines, orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster), and familiarity with Snowflake or BigQuery.
