AV Systems Design Engineer (Remote - US)

We are seeking a talented AV Systems Design Engineer to create and implement audiovisual solutions for corporate, educational, digital signage/IPTV, sports, and broadcast clients. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales teams to understand client needs, recommend technologies, and develop detailed system designs. You will coordinate deployment, assist installation teams, and ensure that projects meet quality and performance expectations. This position requires strong technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel, including evenings and weekends, will be necessary to support client engagements.

Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with sales teams to identify client requirements and propose tailored AV solutions.
• Design complete AV systems, including equipment, parts, consumables, and labor, and create scopes of work to convey system expectations.
• Coordinate with CAD and project management teams to model, document, and deploy systems successfully.
• Respond to bid requests and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Research and stay current on emerging AV technologies to enhance design solutions.
• Mentor and assist field engineers and installation teams as needed for successful deployment.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in AV systems design.
• Strong knowledge of audio and video design, digital signage, IPTV systems, and network design/configuration.
• Familiarity with AV over IP solutions and IT best practices, including OSI model concepts.
• Experience with CAD, REVIT, BIM, or Q360 platforms preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of solving complex or unexpected technical challenges.
• Preferred experience with products such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, BSS, QSC, Vitec, Savi, Luci, or Tripleplay.
• Valid driver’s license required; CTS certification required or to be achieved within 6 months, CTS-I or CTS-D preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 30%, including short-notice trips, and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb structures up to 15 feet, and work on both even and uneven surfaces.
