Skills
- Routing, switching, and network design principles
- Network architecture and security review experience
- Understanding of modern adversary tradecraft and mitigations
- Programming/scripting in general purpose languages (Python, Go, Rust)
- Production experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK)
- Designing and implementing network-based defensive controls in corporate and industrial environments
- Incident response experience and operational ownership
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement defensive security controls for cloud, production, and corporate networks
- Deploy, configure, and maintain network security tooling and appliances
- Build automation and visibility systems to support threat detection and security operations
- Drive security initiatives independently and promote a security-first mindset across teams
- Collaborate with Network and Infrastructure teams to review designs and ensure networks are secure by design
- Participate in and support incident response and post-incident remediation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or related field preferred
- Or equivalent practical experience in network/security engineering
