Responsibilities
- Own mechanical casting commodity strategy from NPI through full production across business lines
- Qualify and vet supplier capabilities, facilities, layout and workforce for Approved Supplier List inclusion
- Lead supplier tooling, line bring-up, and development activities at supplier sites
- Drive capacity expansion readiness and production ramp at supplier locations
- Establish and lead process performance and SPC controls with suppliers
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure part quality and close corrective actions
- Identify and implement product/process improvements, cost reductions and factory layout optimizations
- Support root cause investigations and close loop on corrective/preventative actions with suppliers
Education
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field (required)
- Bachelor's in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering (preferred)
