Accounting Clerk to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on multitasking, enjoys working with both numbers and people, and takes pride in accuracy.
Accounting Clerk is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth within the company.
**This position is an onsite position inside our Jim Shorkey Toyota of Greensburg building in Greensburg, PA (15601). Work hours are Monday - Fridays from 8am - 4pm, Month end flexibility needed. **
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for accurately entering large volumes of data into Microsoft Excel as well as other operating systems and databases, among other accounting support functions.
- Create spreadsheets and run reports on data.
- Detecting flaws in data while processing documents
- Assisting with additional administrative tasks
- Performing special projects as assigned
- Carrying out operations, using policies and procedures; detailing necessary revisions
- Ensuring data entry meets requirements by adhering to program techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase New Vehicle Invoices
- Reconcile Daily Banking
- Receipt checks received through mail (Dealer Trades, A/R Payments, etc)
- Count and reconcile Cashier money including Petty Cash
- Post Funding Notices
- Process Daily Check Deposit
- Reconcile Schedules:
- Post Deals
- Dealer Trades
- Auction Purchases
- Purchase Only- Curbside Purchases
- Retail Deals
- Wholesales
- Month-End Duties
- Inventory Reconciliations
- Reserve Reconciliation
- Factory Program Reconciliation
- Process and Mail A/R Statements
- Be willing to have flexible hours during end of month closing
- Review issues and communicate
*Additional tasks will be assigned and may vary at the discretion of the Supervisor*
Requirements
- Highly Proficient in all Microsoft programs. (The position requires office skills including computer usage majority of the time, Microsoft Outlook and Teams).
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Proficient with computers and technology platforms.
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Well organized
- Must be 18 years old
- Have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
