Brief role description:
Reporting to the Operations Manager and Project Managers, the Project Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects by managing all the logistical components and providing updates on project statuses and identifying potential conflicts and roadblocks. They provide essential support and assistance to the Project Manager in coordinating various project-specific tasks, including scheduling vendors and communication.
The Project Administrator is responsible for maintaining project schedules and ensuring that software tools are up-to-date daily. They also review all project-related emails to ensure proper documentation and attention.
The Project Administrator will collaborate closely with various departments such as Estimating, Purchasing, Vendor Management, and Bookkeeping. They are expected to maintain good working relationships with all external vendors.
In summary, the Project Administrator plays a critical role in the success of the project by providing logistical support and coordination, maintaining project schedules, and collaborating with various departments and external parties.
Job Objective:
The objective of the Project Administrator position is to be the glue for the project. Support the Project Manager and keep all schedules and tasks organized and always updated. Project Administrators should be able to work with PMs in multiple projects simultaneously.
