Accelerator Design & Development Director

InStride is a public benefit corporation focused on partnering with employers to deliver university-quality, applied learning that advances employee careers and drives business outcomes. We are seeking an Accelerator Design & Development Director to lead the design, scaling, and continuous improvement of cohort-based Capability Accelerators—combining learning science, AI-enabled practice, and strategic partnership with employers and academic institutions.

Skills

  • Learning innovation and AI fluency for practice-based and personalized learning.
  • End-to-end program design and development grounded in learning science.
  • Client engagement and ability to partner with senior L&D leaders and CLOs.
  • Experience working with higher education institutions and faculty.
  • Ability to codify learning systems, templates, and playbooks for scale.
  • Instructional design leadership and vendor/team management.
  • Strong project management across complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead employer engagements to translate business needs into structured, outcome-driven Accelerator program blueprints.
  • Design and/or oversee development of programs that integrate AI-enabled practice, simulation, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Co-create programs with academic and industry partners that blend academic rigor with practical business relevance.
  • Manage instructional designers, content developers, and vendors to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Advance and adapt ready-to-deploy Accelerators for rapid customization and scale.
  • Codify and evolve the Accelerator model by developing templates, playbooks, and repeatable design systems.
  • Partner with internal teams to align client objectives, academic partnerships, and delivery execution.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with clear priorities, timelines, and communication.
  • Analyze learner and performance data to continuously improve content, models, and learner impact.
  • Define systems, tools, and workflows to enable the scaling of the Accelerator portfolio.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Learning Design, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or related field preferred.
  • Master's degree in Learning Sciences, Education, Organizational Psychology, or related field is a plus but not required.
