Skills
- Experience working with young children in a school or early childhood setting (preferably ages 3–6)
- Familiarity with Montessori principles and prepared environment concepts
- Classroom management and observation skills
- Ability to present lessons and support hands-on learning
- Strong verbal communication with children, families, and colleagues
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
- Observe children closely to understand and support individual needs and development
- Prepare and maintain a clean, orderly, and engaging Montessori classroom environment
- Provide individualized and small-group lessons, demonstrating use of materials and guiding activities
- Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a respectful classroom community
- Support classroom routines, transitions, and safety protocols
- Communicate with lead guides and participate in team planning and meetings
- Engage in ongoing professional development and implement best practices shared by mentors
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Montessori credential preferred but not required (sponsored diploma training provided)
