Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Instructor to join our team and instruct courses within our Nursing programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned RN with a Master's degree to transition into education, as no prior teaching experience is required. We provide a comprehensive Faculty Development training program to ensure your success in the classroom and clinical settings. The ideal candidate will be a clinically competent professional with expertise in Pediatrics or OB-Gyn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct and evaluate nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings.
- Plan, supervise, and evaluate student clinical experiences in assigned healthcare facilities.
- Develop, administer, and grade examinations and final course evaluations.
- Maintain accurate student records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills.
- Utilize principles of adult learning and integrate online activities to enhance teaching.
- Participate in student advising, committee activities, and faculty meetings.
- Ensure clinical facilities meet all health and safety requirements for students.
- Collaborate with other instructors on strategic planning and program assessment to maintain quality.
Requirements:
Education
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution.
- Coursework in nursing, education, or administration is required.
Experiences
- At least four years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience within the last five years.
- Expertise in either Pediatrics or OB-Gyn.
- Bedside nursing experience is essential; no prior teaching experience is required.
Other
- Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
- Must be clinically competent as defined by CCR Section 1420(c).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $95,000 per year.
