Leadership Development Consultant-Senior

Job Description:

The Leadership and Organizational Development (LOD) Consultant I supports the change management needs for enterprise-wide initiatives, such as enterprise-wide technology implementations. This position works with other project team members, LOD team members, external consultants, and Intermountain leadership and managers to create and implement change management plans that support employee and physician transitions and adoption.



The following states are currently paused for sourcing new candidates or for new relocation requests from current caregivers: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington

This position requires residency within one of following areas:

  • Denver, Colorado

  • Las Vegas, Nevada

  • St. George , Utah

  • Salt Lake, Utah

The LOD Consultant Senior works to provide learning opportunities and subject matter expertise during the design and development of learning-related projects. This position consults with colleagues during the learning opportunity planning phase to develop learning solutions to meet caregiver and leader needs.

The Consultant works with leaders and colleagues to develop learning solutions aligned with organizational goals, containing actionable objectives with effective learning modality solutions and measurable outcomes, planning for resource requirements and implementation timelines. Is responsible for the development of needs assessment tools and program evaluation tools (Kirkpatrick Levels 1 and 2) for learning opportunities.

The Consultant works with teams, HRBPs and other NOEs  enterprise-wide to diagnose and collaborate on team and/or leader engagement solutions. This consultant may perform basic level organizational development work to improve team collaboration and work processes.

The Consultant leads  large enterprise-wide projects affecting a variety of service lines. This position is responsible for project management from inception to completion of the project.

The Consultant builds relationships with leaders and colleagues enterprise-wide to deliver learning opportunities and/or routine organizational development solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in the planning and development of learning opportunities enterprise-wide.
  • Demonstrated experience in building collaborative relationships and influence across a large, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated consumer service orientation.
  • Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, interpersonal, and collaborative communication/relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective project management skills, a basic understanding of learning design with limited supervision and assistance from other more experienced consultants within the Center for Learning and Transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, Education or related business field. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
  • Prior experience in design and development of learning opportunities.
  • Prior experience in project management.
  • Prior experience in routine organizational development.
  • Certifications per area of expertise.

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$50.97 - $78.69
