HopSkipDrive is seeking a VP of Legal to lead its legal function, focusing on legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks while advising the executive team. This role involves building legal infrastructure, managing a high-performing legal team, and overseeing corporate legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include overseeing all legal functions, directing corporate legal matters, managing compliance programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while leading a legal team of 10.
Skills: Strong expertise in commercial contracts, compliance, foundational legal systems, and deep experience in high-growth environments. Proven management skills and ability to navigate legal complexities are essential.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess 15+ years of legal experience, a Juris Doctorate, and an active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Experience in marketplace companies and strong leadership in commercial legal areas is preferred.
Location: This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in various states across the U.S.
Compensation: $240000 - $260000 / Annually

The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options and a target bonus. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
