Business Development Manager – Transportation & Logistics Solutions

📍 Location: Remote / Field-Based (Local Travel Required)

💼 Full-Time | Outside Sales | Base + Uncapped Commission

💰 Base: $60,000–$65,000 | Year 1 Earnings Potential: $100K+

A leading logistics solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join its high-performing sales team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and securing new business across your assigned territory, offering a full suite of transportation and outsourced logistics services to mid-size and enterprise clients.


🧭 What You’ll Do


  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing with a focus on new client acquisition
  • Build out a robust pipeline by identifying prospects and developing strategic sales plans
  • Educate prospects on transportation, supply chain, and fleet management solutions
  • Conduct financial and operational assessments to customize value-driven proposals
  • Collaborate with internal operations, account teams, and national sales partners to ensure seamless implementation
  • Regularly report activity, forecasting, and performance to leadership
  • Support account transitions post-sale to drive long-term client success

🎯 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of quota achievement
  • Strong understanding of solution-based selling and value-based negotiations
  • Ability to interpret financial data and ROI-driven business cases
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and confident working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
