- Proven experience across the vulnerability management lifecycle in large/complex environments
- Hands-on use of vulnerability scanning platforms (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7)
- Scripting for automation and remediation (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl)
- Familiarity with UVM/RBVM tools and ServiceNow integrations
- Comfortable with Windows, macOS, and Linux command-line basics
- Solid networking fundamentals and systems design knowledge
- Experience interpreting scan output and translating to actionable remediation
- Strong written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Own and support the full vulnerability management lifecycle: discovery, scanning, analysis, prioritization, remediation guidance, and reporting
- Interpret vulnerability scan results and quantify business risk given environmental context
- Design remediation strategies and compensating controls where fixes are not feasible
- Integrate and operate VM tools (Qualys/Tenable/Rapid7) and support UVM/RBVM workflows
- Automate routine tasks and develop lightweight scripts using native languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl)
- Collaborate with systems, network, and application teams to harden infrastructure to CIS/NIST benchmarks
- Assist with ServiceNow and other integrations for ticketing and remediation tracking
- Deliver clear written and verbal reports and walk-throughs for technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related discipline preferred
- Equivalent relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree
