Skills
- Hands-on incident response and host/network forensics
- Experience with EDR/NDR/XDR, SIEMs, and common security tooling
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, BASH or similar)
- Ability to analyze malware and triage threats
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, M365)
- Strong written and verbal communication for client-facing deliverables
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource on DFIR engagements, performing incident response and forensic investigations
- Analyze network traffic, host artifacts, logs, and malware to produce actionable findings
- Author clear, tailored deliverables for technical and executive audiences outlining findings and remediation
- Automate and script processes to increase investigation efficiency and integrate tooling
- Collaborate with peers, foster client relationships, and communicate status during engagements
- Contribute to tooling integrations, process improvements, and knowledge sharing within the practice
- Participate in threat hunting, proactive discovery, and purple team activities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience preferred
- Relevant industry certifications (or willingness to obtain) are beneficial
