Business Development Representative

GuidePoint Security is a rapidly growing, privately-held cybersecurity reseller and services firm that advises Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. The Business Development Representative will work with sales and marketing to source, qualify, and deliver high-quality prospects to Account Executives while representing GuidePoint's security and OEM offerings in a consultative manner.

Skills

  • Proven inside sales and lead generation experience in IT/cybersecurity
  • Salesforce CRM expertise
  • Familiarity with Marketo or similar marketing automation
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Consultative selling and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort presenting metrics and reporting ROI
  • Ability to learn and explain OEM/security product value propositions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted outreach plans with Account Executives and the BDR team, including account lists, messaging, OEM focus, and use cases
  • Qualify, follow up, engage and manage leads and opportunities using Salesforce and Marketo
  • Coordinate regularly with Account Executives to report outreach progress, wins, and areas for improvement
  • Learn and articulate OEM technologies and their value propositions to clients
  • Support marketing to drive attendance to GuidePoint events and activities
  • Create email and call templates for targeted and event-based outreach
  • Capture prospect meeting notes and customer wants/needs in Salesforce
  • Present metrics on business development performance and ROI to leaders

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not strictly required; equivalent experience accepted
