Skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with general ledger, journal entries and account reconciliations
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite experience highly desirable)
- Experience reconciling cash and multiple bank accounts
- Ability to analyze variances and research complex transactions
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Process improvement and automation mindset
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end financial close tasks, prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Administer end-to-end customer and vendor rebate programs including accruals, eligibility validation, calculations and payments/credits
- Perform account analyses and research variances, discrepancies and reconciling items and recommend solutions
- Prepare and maintain month-end accruals and supporting documentation
- Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts
- Support internal and external reporting packages and ad hoc financial reports
- Maintain and improve processes and controls for financial close and general ledger procedures
- Reconcile financial reports across systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce and Certinia as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required or equivalent experience
