Skills
- Deep knowledge of U.S. federal, multi-state corporate tax and international tax rules (transfer pricing, FTCs, BEPS).
- Experience with ASC 740 accounting for income taxes and tax provision preparation.
- Proven tax compliance and controversy management experience, including audits.
- Hands-on experience with tax technology and ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Avalara) and tax automation.
- Strong analytical and data skills with attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication to explain tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and international tax returns and estimated payments.
- Oversee ASC 740 tax provision calculations and financial statement tax disclosures.
- Support tax strategy and planning, identifying tax-saving opportunities and managing tax risks.
- Manage international tax matters including transfer pricing, permanent establishment risk, and contemporaneous documentation.
- Coordinate and respond to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Implement and maintain tax technology solutions, process improvements, and internal controls.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, People, Payroll, and Legal on tax impacts of business activities.
- Prepare tax analyses for new projects, product launches, and international expansion.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- Master's in Taxation (MST), JD/LLM, or equivalent is a plus.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
