Skills
- Deep knowledge of SOX 404, COSO, and ITGC frameworks
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting processes
- Experience coordinating with external auditors and managing audit cycles
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and compliance tools (AuditBoard, Workiva)
- Ability to design and execute risk-based audit and testing programs
- Experience applying data analytics and automation to audit processes
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience in public company or software/technology environments preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the company’s SOX 404 compliance program including financial reporting controls and ITGCs
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify key financial and IT control risks
- Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness aligned with COSO and regulatory standards
- Coordinate and facilitate testing with process owners and external auditors
- Identify control deficiencies and drive remediation plans to closure
- Document processes, controls, and testing results and maintain up-to-date evidence
- Provide guidance and training on compliance, internal controls, and regulatory changes
- Plan and execute risk-based internal audit projects, including country-specific audits
- Present audit findings and recommendations to senior leadership and track remediation
- Mentor and develop compliance and audit team members
- Partner with finance, IT, and business teams to embed controls in processes and projects
- Leverage data analytics and automation to improve audit and compliance efficiency
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- Professional certification preferred: CPA, CIA, or CISA
