Our client, a well-established leader in the pet care industry, is seeking an experienced Manager, Regulatory Affairs specializing in pesticides. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a growing regulatory team at a critical time, with a clear path to advancement as senior leadership plans for succession.

As the primary regulatory liaison for pesticide products across North America, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance while supporting innovation in pet care products. This position offers the rare combination of hands-on regulatory expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and genuine upward mobility within a respected organization.

Regulatory Compliance & Agency Liaison:

  • Oversee regulatory compliance for all pesticide products (topicals, collars, shampoos) across North America (USA, Canada, Mexico)
  • Manage federal and state registrations, amendments, renewals, and product labeling in accordance with FIFRA regulations
  • Serve as primary point of contact with EPA and state regulatory agencies
  • Monitor EPA databases, Federal Register, and trade publications to track competitive products and ensure proper data compensation

Dossier Preparation & Submissions:

  • Lead preparation and submission of comprehensive regulatory dossiers, including toxicology and regulatory components
  • Develop deep understanding of testing protocols, procedures, and requirements for successful Agency approvals
  • Collaborate with external consultants in Canada and Mexico to manage submissions for new applications, amendments, and formulation changes

Adverse Effects & Compliance Management:

  • Manage adverse effect tracking, classification, and reporting to federal, state, and international agencies
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, questions, or complaints from internal teams, customers, and government agencies
  • Contribute to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) development and approval for pesticide products

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advisory:

  • Provide expert guidance to R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Management on pesticide-related regulatory matters
  • Review and approve advertising and product label copy for compliance
  • Participate in docket review committees to evaluate public information concerning pesticides
  • Represent the organization in trade associations, staying ahead of legislative changes and emerging regulatory issues

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Entomology, or related scientific field
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Regulatory Compliance/Affairs within the EPA-regulated products industry, specifically working with FIFRA
  • Pesticide Expertise: Proven experience with dossier preparation and registration of new pesticide products (not just assistance—ownership required)
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of U.S. state and federal pesticide registration requirements, regulations, and processes
  • Systems Proficiency: Working knowledge of National Pesticide Information Retrieval System (NPIRS) and Pesticide Product and Label System (PPLS)
  • Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interpret complex regulations and advise stakeholders
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 5% for business needs

Salary & Incentives:

  • Base Salary: $135,000 - $150,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Annual discretionary incentive bonus
  • Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 available for candidates relocating independently

Generous Time Off:

  • Up to 34 paid days off annually
  • Paid parental leave
  • Pet bereavement leave

Retirement & Financial Benefits:

  • 401(k) with 5.5% employer match and immediate vesting
  • Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Health & Wellness:
