As a Business Data Analyst, you’ll be the go-to expert for transforming raw data into actionable insights that guide finance, operations, and strategy. Your ability to automate reporting, visualize trends, and analyze financial and operational metrics will directly impact performance and decision-making across the organization.

What you’ll do every day

· Automate data collection, reporting, and distribution processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

· Partner cross-functionally with finance, accounting, marketing, purchasing, and other teams to deliver data-driven insights.

· Analyze and interpret data to support ad hoc requests and ongoing business needs.

· Develop dashboards, presentations, and reports to highlight key results and trends.

· Write intermediate-to-advanced SQL queries to aggregate, transform, and automate reporting datasets.

· Use BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to build interactive, drillable dashboards with cross-filtered analysis.

· Work with financial data including P&Ls, cash flow statements, variance analyses, and forecasting models.

· Support financial modeling and scenario analysis to guide strategic decision-making.

What you bring

· 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a similar role.

· Proficiency with SQL (intermediate to advanced).

· Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau (intermediate level required).

· Strong Excel/financial modeling skills (variance analysis, cash flow, forecasting).

· Experience working with financial data, P&L statements, and operational metrics.

· Ability to communicate data insights clearly through visualizations, reports, and presentations.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

· Comfortable working cross-functionally and balancing multiple priorities.

Bonus (nice-to-have):

· Experience with NetSuite ERP reporting and integrations.

· Familiarity with ETL or data automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Rivery, dbt, Python scripting).

· Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).

· Background in eCommerce, retail, or consumer products industry.
