Job Description

As the Vice President of Product Management- Connected Water Hardware, you will guide the vision, development, and delivery of our connected water hardware portfolio across omni-channel routes to market—including retail, e-commerce, wholesale distribution, insurance, and emerging digital platforms. This role is key to shaping the future of connected water solutions, fostering innovation, and aligning with evolving consumer needs and business goals.

You will oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept to commercialization and retirement—while building a collaborative, results-oriented team. Your leadership will help define product strategy, elevate customer experiences, and position our connected offerings to deliver long-term value and market relevance.

What you will be doing

  • Guide product strategy and planning for connected water hardware, aligned with consumer needs and business goals.
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle—from concept through development to product retirement.
  • Be accountable for P&L performance, including pricing, portfolio health, and investment return.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Digital, Supply Chain, and Finance to align product nitiatives with execution.
  • Partner with B2B, B2C, and external stakeholders to support connected product integration across channels.
  • Work with Corporate Strategy to explore partnership and M&A opportunities that support portfolio growth.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and platform expansion across connected product lines.
  • Represent the Connected Products Center of Excellence, promoting consistency and shared learning across business units.
  • Leverage data, insights, and feedback to inform decision-making and refine strategy.
  • Mentor and develop a collaborative, agile, and engaged team of product professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in product management, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Background in connected products, IoT-enabled devices, or consumer electronics.
  • Strong understanding of product, pricing, placement, and promotion strategies.
  • Experience managing product financials, including P&L ownership.
  • Proficiency in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SAP for business analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA
  • Familiarity with agile development environments.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $150,000 USD - $244,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
