Senior Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure
Skills
- Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka or Kinesis
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
- Experience with IaaS, Kubernetes, containers, and service-oriented architectures
- Comfort with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in software development with languages like Go, Python, Java, or Ruby
- Strong debugging, observability, and incident response skills
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain distributed data infrastructure including streaming, orchestration, compute, and storage systems.
- Own end-to-end data pipelines that process millions of supply chain events daily and ensure data availability and correctness.
- Collaborate with data producers and consumers across the organization to define interfaces, SLAs, and data quality standards.
- Improve reliability and scalability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and participation in on-call rotation.
- Document systems, mentor junior engineers, and foster cross-team knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Partner with infrastructure engineers to evolve CI/CD, IaC, and deployment practices for data systems.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (required)
- Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline (preferred)
