We are currently seeking ambitious and entrepreneurial individuals to join our agency as an Agent Protégé. This is not just a sales position—it’s the first step toward becoming an agency owner with Farmers Insurance. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and access to the award-winning University of Farmers, you’ll gain the knowledge and experience necessary to one day run your own business.

About the Role

As an Agent Protégé, you will work directly under an experienced Farmers Insurance agency owner to learn every aspect of building and managing a successful insurance agency. You’ll receive training in sales, client relationship management, team leadership, and agency operations. While helping clients with their insurance needs—across Auto, Home, Life, Business, and Specialty lines—you’ll also gain firsthand experience on how to grow a book of business and lead an agency. This role is designed to prepare you for agency ownership, giving you a clear path to transition from trainee to owner when you are ready.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand a client base through networking, prospecting, and community involvement

  • Provide expert guidance on insurance options, tailoring solutions to meet client needs

  • Build strong, lasting client relationships through communication and policy reviews

  • Meet and exceed sales goals while focusing on long-term client satisfaction

  • Learn the operational and strategic aspects of running an insurance agency

  • Stay current with industry trends and Farmers Insurance products

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to achieve ownership

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Sales or customer service experience is preferred but not required

  • Must be willing to obtain (or currently hold) state insurance licenses (Property & Casualty, Life & Health)

  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
