Marketing Manager, Industrial and Transportation Coatings (Trexlertown, PA)
Evonik Corporation seeks a Marketing Manager, Industrial and Transportation Coatings (Trexlertown, PA) to perform regional analysis of direct market and competitive environment, trends and development of medium to long-term market assessments as a basis for strategic alignment utilizing relevant sources of information and systems worldwide. Lead assigned strategic and operational projects of the regional market segment(s), as well as continuous improvement of business processes in the Americas region. Support product management related activities, including support of allocation coordination, as well as modifications to product packaging, product specification changes, and regional service/surcharge decisions. Consult on portfolio management for the market segment and support safety and quality initiatives. Provide support to the innovation pipeline of the market segment(s) (including Commercial Project Management of assigned Innovation Projects), alignment of key account strategies, as well as coordination with other market segments in their respective BLs. Support the development and implementation of the regional strategy in accordance with the global market segment strategy in the region. Conduct regional performance (CM1) of Market Segment across products, in support of the global growth and margin targets. Create presentations by requirement and maintain structured documentation of market information. Generate monthly and quarterly reports. Coordinate and organize promotional items for regional marketing activities (advertisement, sales tools, promotional items) and support the organization of regional customer events. Local telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. 10% domestic travel required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Management, or related field, and 2 years of business, sales or marketing experience in the paint and coatings industry. Must have experience with: Developing and implementing strategy in a highly matrixed, global business and managing diverse group of stakeholders; Project Management skills such as stakeholder management, management of change, business case development, and market analysis; Managing or heavily interfacing with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and a broad technology organization focused on product development, technical service, and asset optimization; MS Dynamics CRM, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite; Analyzing and interpreting data; and Developing business-aligned solutions based on customer and market insights. 10% domestic travel required.
