VP, Financial Planning & Analysis

Dyne Therapeutics is a biotech company focused on treating genetically driven neuromuscular diseases. They are seeking a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting across R&D, G&A, and commercial functions within a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.

Skills

  • Expertise in financial planning & analysis within biotech/pharma, especially pre-launch or commercial product experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite or Oracle and EPM tools such as Adaptive or Anaplan.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Skills in creating launch P&Ls, demand forecasting, and product-level financial strategies for specialty drugs.
  • Strong leadership with decision-making under ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as financial strategic partner to the Executive Committee for pipeline investments and capital allocation decisions.
  • Develop long-range financial models including revenue, cost of goods sold, and margin planning for new therapies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on business development, pricing, deal valuation, and net present value modeling.
  • Lead corporate planning cycle including budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans ensuring SEC compliance.
  • Manage budget vs actual reviews, variance analysis, and deliver KPI dashboards supporting decision-making.
  • Standardize and improve FP&A processes leveraging technology for scalable operations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team to support clinical and commercial initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field required.
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
