Dreamscape Learn, a pioneer in immersive virtual reality enhanced education, is seeking a visionary senior executive to oversee its product management function. This leader will work closely with C-level leadership and key stakeholders to identify and analyze market opportunities, define product priorities, and guide our teams to develop highly innovative and impactful solutions that redefine the educational experience in scalable ways.

This role requires a forward-thinking individual with strong product management expertise, a strong ability to balance innovation and product-market fit factors, and experience in education domains related to curriculum selection and implementation in K12 and/or higher education (preferably both). Crucially, this role will demand both effective direction of other staff and significant hands-on individual contribution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision & Strategy:
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategic roadmap aligned with the company's mission to drive student success through engaging, immersive education experiences.
  • Define product objectives and performance metrics to ensure alignment with business goals and user needs, creating a competitive moat that enhances brand loyalty and customer retention.
  • Clearly define the key components of each core product, outlining the core features, tools, and standards that will provide value to users and address their specific needs.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, user needs, and competitive dynamics in the education and ed-tech industries.
  • Identify and analyze new opportunities in immersive education to expand product offerings and differentiate our solutions in the marketplace, ensuring strong product market fit and a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Cross-functional Leadership:
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams to ensure strategic alignment across departments.
  • Lead the product management team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Engage with customers, educators, and institutional stakeholders to understand pain points and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the product vision internally and externally, presenting to stakeholders, investors, and clients.
  • Roadmap Execution:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the product roadmap, ensuring that deadlines are met and high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization, in collaboration with the product and engineering teams.
  • Data-driven Decision Making:
  • Utilize data analytics and user feedback to drive decision-making, ensuring that products are both user-centric and market-driven.
  • Continuously monitor and assess product performance, recommending pivots or adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • 7+ years in product strategy or product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; prior experience in VR, AR, or education technology preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA and/or experience clearly demonstrating strong commercial/business analysis skills.
  • Deep understanding of what makes compelling and effective pedagogy and curriculum design.
  • Deep understanding of educational technology, applications, and trends, with the ability to translate advancements into impactful learning products.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial fluency, including an analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making, with experience in using market data, user insights, and business economics to inform product strategy.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative culture, and driving product innovation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that provide meaningful value to users in the educational sector.
  • Background in education technology or learning sciences, with a strong understanding of how technology can enhance educational outcomes preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
  • Compensation: $225,000-$250,000 per annum + bonus + equity (DOE)
