We are looking for a highly skilled Professional Development Specialist to deliver highly engaging learning experiences for classroom educators, specialists, and administrators through virtual and in-person experiences. Professional Development Specialists present competent, expert information about DreamBox Math and Literacy solutions to ensure clients achieve the outcomes outlined for each learning session. As a member of the Professional Development team, you will also contribute to team education experiences, and follow all processes for recording essential information using internal systems.

As a Professional Development Specialist, you bring classroom experience and education expertise that will contribute to evolving our professional learning services and content. Experience with presenting to adult audiences and a proven understanding of adult learning theory is required.

In This Role You Will:

  • Delivering highly engaging, world-class professional development experiences to educators both virtually and in-person.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create an excellent client experience for customers.
  • Presenting competent, expert information that ensures client participants achieve the outcomes of the learning session.
  • Follow all Professional Development processes, including timely recording of tasks and essential information.
  • Working seamlessly with Customer organization team members to effectively communicate workflow and next steps.
  • Routinely collaborating with the Professional Development team, participating in internal training/learning opportunities, and appropriately contributing in all team meetings.
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • Capably and confidently making informed adjustments to support clients.
  • Using data to determine needs and validate solutions for specific educators and schools.
  • Consulting with school staff and developing plans for Professional Development.
  • Actively scheduling Professional Development sessions and other engagements.

Core Competencies for Success:

  • Math/Literacy education experience required. Math + literacy education a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Previous experience training adults with technology products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent intrapersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with teachers and administrators
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to immediate or unforeseen challenges

Credentials and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Masters a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in K-12 classroom
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience delivering professional development sessions & knowledge of adult learning
  • Ability to travel to local schools regularly
  • Legal right to work in the United States

This role is designed to be local to Prince George's County in Maryland with travel to the onsite school district.
