We’re looking for a strategic, cross-functional leader to define and scale Deel’s presence with one of our most critical audiences: start-ups and early-stage companies. As the Start-up Segment Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for building a segment-specific go-to-market motion from the ground up—owning everything from messaging and campaign strategy to lifecycle and partner alignment. You’ll work across Product, Sales, Partnerships, Growth, and Customer Success to deeply understand the early-stage buyer, shape how we show up to them, and scale Deel’s value in the global start-up ecosystem.
Strategy & Positioning
Define and evolve Deel’s value proposition for start-ups—working across pods to articulate why Deel is the right partner for early-stage teams scaling globally.
Segment the ICP by growth stage, funding, region, and hiring complexity; build tailored use cases and adoption pathways.
Represent the voice of the start-up buyer across GTM, content, and product feedback loops.
Report out insights and GTM performance to executive stakeholders.
Campaigns & Growth
Own and lead 1–2 start-up-focused GTM campaigns per quarter, in partnership with PMMs, Paid, SDRs, and Growth Marketing.
Collaborate with the Partnerships team to drive co-marketing and channel growth with VC, accelerator, and platform partners.
Source and promote compelling customer stories to fuel credibility and advocacy within the ecosystem.
Ecosystem Engagement
Represent Deel in start-up communities, partner networks, and industry events—both virtual and in-person.
Partner with the Events team to shape audience strategy, content, and speaker presence at key moments.
Collaborate with spokespeople, founders, and startup advisors to amplify Deel’s POV on global hiring and growth.
Source speaking opportunities, firesides, and co-hosted activations that put Deel in the right rooms at the right time.
6–8+ years in B2B marketing, ideally in a segment marketing, product marketing, or GTM leadership role.
Deep understanding of the start-up buyer mindset—you’ve worked with or marketed to early-stage teams and understand their priorities.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs that span marketing, partnerships, product, and customer teams.
Excellent communicator and simplifier—you can distill insights, advocate for your segment, and drive alignment across teams.
