The role
The Director of Venture Capital & Private Equity Partnerships is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with capital allocators that drive growth, expand Deel’s market reach, and enhance its product and service offerings. You will be at the forefront of identifying, negotiating, and nurturing key partner relationships across various sectors, including VC, Accelerator, Growth Equity and Private Equity. This role involves both strategic vision and tactical execution, requiring you to manage partner programs and incentives, manage executive relationships, support co-marketing initiatives and activations, and ensure long-term success through value-driven partnerships. This is a global role, with team members distributed across all regions.
Responsibilities
Recruit, inspire, lead and scale a high-performing partnerships team
Build a core component of a Deel’s go-to-market partnerships team, and maintain responsibility for the performance and growth of a high value set of hundreds of partners.
Identify, prospect, negotiate, develop and manage Deel’s key partnerships across the VC and PE ecosystem globally, with a focus on North America
Define and execute a strategy to unlock and optimize benefits and economics for both partners and Deel
Act as the management sponsor for key partners within your Channel, from prospecting and acquisition through to partner management and growth.
Maintain deep foundational knowledge of Deel’s products and services so you can identify key market opportunities for partners
Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (including sales, legal, finance, product) to develop optimal partnership strategies, agreements and execution plans
Partner with marketing to develop campaigns to drive awareness and conversion of potential partners
Build a vibrant Deel partner community in which best practices, knowledge and celebration of partners are shared amongst community members
Travel periodically to engage in-person with key partners, participate in events, and support your team
Qualifications
10+ years of experience professional experience, across a combination of Tech Partnerships, VC, and/or Private Equity
3+ years building, implementing and leading a partner program
Deep network within the North American VC and PE ecosystem
Strong analytical and quantitative skills to drive key insights and measurement
Experience managing internal teams and external partners
An entrepreneurial spirit with a strong growth mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Financial and Data Modeling
